Hello,
I’m posting this with the hopes of helping my good friend’s family in this moment of need… her dad has just been diagnosed with Leukemia and needs to find a bone marrow match. It’s really important to get as many people tested since it’s really difficult to find a match. Below is her email with all the information regarding him and how you can help. Sign up and see if you are a match for him (takes about 4 minutes). Please and thank you.
Dear Friends,
This is an urgent plea for you to join my family to help save the life of my beloved Dad.
Rick is an athletic 57 year old orthopedic surgeon, a loving husband to my mother Tracy, and a devoted father. Â Up until three weeks ago he was in the prime of life, working and playing hard and enjoying his very busy and productive life. Then profound fatigue developed and, nearly overnight, he has found himself hospitalized and critically ill with acute leukemia.
Following the intensive course of chemotherapy now underway, his survival will depend on a bone marrow transplant. But he needs to find a âmatchâ. Thatâs why weâre reaching out to all of you to please help. Itâs all so overwhelmingâŚ.but sign-up is easy.
Some facts:
â˘Â    Just a simple questionnaire and a cheek swab are all you need to do to join the Registry.
â˘Â    There is no charge to you for registration and screening.
â˘Â    If you do match (the odds are less than 1% that you will), donation is easy.  Rickâs treatment program depends on collecting peripheral blood stem cells, so the process is just like donating blood.
â˘Â    Travel is not necessary in order to donate.
If you are willing to consider this generous and life-saving gift, please open the link below to read more about the program and hopefully to participate in our effort. Whether or not you are able to participate yourself, would you please forward this note to as many of your friends and relatives as possible and post it to Facebook, Twitter and any other social media outlet? If we tap into all of our networks, I believe we can reach thousands of people and save not only my dad’s life, but others, too.

Thank you so very much.
Love and gratitude,
Danielle
I sometimes have dreams where the trains I need to get to work aren’t running so I have to figure out alternate routes in my sleep.Â
There are so many things wrong with this picture I don’t even know where to begin. The Jesus blood jelly bean perhaps?!!!
Just in case you haven’t had enough of valentine’s day AND infographics here is a post about both. yuck!
This is great! Kind of feels like an analog infographic
Walking by Laurie Frick
Collage patterns captured from daily walks. Â What if sensors, cameras and GPS collected daily movement and cumulatively displayed your walking patterns. Â Would it be motivating to move around and walk more everyday? Â Iâm using a fitbit, mytracks and a catcam to hand collect and hand-build these collage works. Â But also thinking about the software algorithm that could capture and display something very similar.
Series of wallpaper patterns I made from an image of a table top from my local Metal bar.
